  • About Deborah Schoenblum, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker/psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey, with over 15 years of experience providing therapy. My own struggles with fertility led me to refocus my private practice to providing therapy for those who are struggling with this issue.

I received my Master degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University and Post-Master Certificates from New York University. In addition, I am trained in a short-term evidence-based model of family therapy. I have received and continue to receive extensive post graduate training in infertility counseling. My passion for issues related to infertility led me to become a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM).

I was involved in research, presentations and workshops in several conferences worldwide, including World Congress of Psychotherapists in Vienna, the American Psychological Convention in Toronto and the Mid East/North African Regional Conference of Psychology in Dubai.

In NYC, I have worked at Not-For-Profit agencies serving children and families, mental health clinics, and adoption agencies. I also have years of experience supervising and training other therapists. I am currently a consultant with a large national fertility clinic.

I enjoy having a private practice and work primarily with those struggling with fertility issues. I understand how difficult and draining this journey can be. I am here to help you move forward and reconnect with yourself again. My approach is eclectic and holistic, varying in technique, depending on your needs. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for therapy.

Here is an article where I discuss navigating the challenges of infertility.
